What is a Bookbinding Cradle?

The cradle helps you hold you signature in place while you poke the holes for the stitches you will latter work with for the Coptic style of book making.



Tacky Glue or Elmer's Glue will help hold the book binding cradle pieces together. Just let them dry well. Phone books would work well for this but they are had to come by. But you can see the center called the gutter, same v shape for poking holes like the cradle is.

Not on the list is this self-healing mat, as you can see mine is from Blick Art Materials where you can find them.
